Avian Biology

Much of what we know about biotic responses to climate and land use change comes from long-term inventories and research in avian biology. The Oklahoma Biological Survey is a regional center for avian ecology engaged in long-term monitoring projects of regionally threatened species like the Lesser Prairie Chickens, in developing new technologies that enable revolutionary research on bird migration, as well as a diversity of projects across the Americas.
